Ingredients
- 2 large flour tortillas (or low-carb/gluten-free if preferred)
- 6 oz deli-sliced roasted turkey breast (halal)
- 4 slices turkey bacon (halal), cooked until crispy
- 1/2 cup shredded lettuce (romaine or iceberg)
- 1 medium tomato, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup ranch dressing (homemade or store-bought)
- 2 slices cheddar or provolone cheese
- Optional: sliced avocado, red onion, pickles, or cucumber
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the turkey bacon
Start by cooking the turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until it’s crispy, about 4–5 minutes. Set aside on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Let it cool slightly—it’ll crisp up even more as it cools.
Step 2: Warm the tortillas
Place each tortilla in a dry skillet or microwave for about 10–15 seconds to make them soft and pliable. This step helps prevent tearing when you roll them up later.
Step 3: Lay down the ranch
Spread about 2 tablespoons of ranch dressing down the center of each tortilla. Use the back of a spoon to smear it out, leaving about an inch from the edge to avoid overflow.
Step 4: Build your layers
Start layering with sliced turkey, dividing it evenly between the two wraps. Next, lay down two slices of crispy turkey bacon on each. Follow with a slice of cheese, tomato slices, and a handful of shredded lettuce. If you’re using extras like avocado or red onion, now’s the time to add those.
Step 5: Season and roll
Sprinkle a little salt and freshly cracked black pepper over the fillings if desired. Then, fold in the sides of the tortilla, and roll it up tightly from the bottom like a burrito. The goal is to keep everything snug and secure inside.
Step 6: Slice and serve
Use a sharp knife to slice each wrap in half on a diagonal. Serve immediately, or wrap in foil or parchment paper if packing for later.
