Instructions
1. Prepare Flavored Gelatin
- In separate bowls, dissolve each box of flavored gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water.
- Stir until completely dissolved, then add 1 cup of cold water to each bowl.
- Let gelatin cool to room temperature (do not refrigerate yet).
2. Prepare Creamy Milk Gelatin
- In a large bowl, sprinkle unflavored gelatin over 1 cup cold water. Let it bloom for 5 minutes.
- Add 2 cups of boiling water and stir until gelatin is fully dissolved.
- Stir in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract, if using. Let cool to room temperature.
3. Set Up Cups
- Arrange 10 clear plastic dessert cups or small glass cups on a tray or baking sheet for easy transfer.
- Make sure the cups are level to ensure neat, even layers.
4. Begin Layering
- Pour approximately 2 tablespoons (or enough to cover the bottom) of the first flavored gelatin into each cup.
- Chill in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes, or until set but not too firm.
- Once set, pour the same amount of milk gelatin on top of the first layer. Chill again until firm.
- Repeat the process, alternating flavored and milk layers.
- Continue until all gelatin layers are used—usually 3–4 flavored and 3–4 milk layers per cup.
5. Chill and Garnish
- Once all layers are completed, refrigerate cups for at least 2 more hours or until fully set.
- Just before serving, garnish with whipped cream, sprinkles, fruit, or mini marshmallows if desired.
- Prep Time: 45 minutes (active time)
- Set Time: 4–6 hours (including chilling between layers)
