Honey Apricot Goat Cheese

  • Author: Luna
  • Total Time: 10–40 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz goat cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup dried apricots, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons honey, plus extra for drizzling
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon (optional, for warmth)
  • ¼ cup toasted walnuts or pecans, finely chopped (optional, for crunch)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or rosemary, finely chopped (optional, for depth)
  • Pinch of salt

For Serving:

  • Crostini, crackers, or warm pita bread
  • Sliced apples or pears
  • Drizzle of honey and extra apricots for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients

Finely chop the dried apricots and toasted nuts if using. Soften the goat cheese by letting it sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes, making it easier to mix.

Step 2: Mix the Goat Cheese

In a medium bowl, combine the goat cheese, chopped apricots, honey, and cinnamon (if using). Stir until everything is evenly incorporated. If using, fold in the toasted nuts and fresh herbs for extra texture and flavor. Season with a small pinch of salt to enhance the flavors.

Step 3: Shape and Chill (Optional)

For a more structured presentation, transfer the mixture onto a sheet of plastic wrap and shape it into a log or ball. Wrap tightly and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to firm up before serving.

Step 4: Serve and Garnish

Unwrap and place the cheese on a serving plate. Drizzle with extra honey, and sprinkle with additional apricots, nuts, and herbs for a beautiful presentation. Serve with crackers, crostini, or fruit slices and enjoy!
