Ingredients
– 8 ounces fettuccine or pasta of choice
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
– 4 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Making Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta is a breeze when you follow these steps:
1. Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.
2. Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
3. Cook the Garlic: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
4. Make the Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and stir well. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning, mixing until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
5. Combine Pasta and Chicken: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and add the drained pasta. Toss everything together until the pasta is well-coated in the sauce.
6. Adjust Seasoning: Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper, if needed.
7. Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
