  • Author: Luna
  • Total Time: 55 minutes
  • Yield: 12 bars 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans crescent roll dough (8 oz each)
  • 2 packages cream cheese (8 oz each), softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • Optional toppings: powdered sugar, chocolate drizzle, caramel sauce

Instructions

1. Prepare the Dough and Filling

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In a bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth and fluffy.
  • Add ½ cup of sugar, the egg, and vanilla extract.
  • Mix until fully incorporated and smooth.

2. Layer the Bottom Crust

  • Unroll one can of crescent dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the baking dish.
  • Pinch the seams together to create a uniform base.
  • Sprinkle a light layer of cinnamon-sugar (about 1 tablespoon mixture) over the dough.

3. Add the Cheesecake Filling

  • Pour the cream cheese mixture over the dough layer.
  • Spread it evenly with a spatula to cover the entire surface.
  • Smooth out the top for a consistent filling layer.

4. Add the Top Dough Layer

  • Unroll the second can of crescent dough and carefully lay it on top of the cheesecake layer.
  • Gently press the dough to cover without disturbing the filling.
  • Seal any seams if needed for an even top crust.

5. Add Cinnamon-Sugar Topping

  • Mix the remaining ½ cup sugar with cinnamon in a small bowl.
  • Brush the top dough with melted butter using a pastry brush.
  • Generously sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the buttered dough.

6. Bake the Bars

  • Place the dish in the preheated oven.
  • Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and slightly crisp.
  • The cheesecake filling should be set but slightly jiggly in the center.

7. Cool and Slice

  • Let the bars cool completely in the pan before slicing.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for 1–2 hours for clean cuts and best texture.
  • Slice into 12 even bars using a sharp knife.

8. Serve and Garnish

  • Serve chilled or at room temperature.
  • Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with chocolate or caramel if desired.
  • Garnish with berries or mint leaves for extra flair.
