- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
For the Cheese Topping:

- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Sloppy Joe Filling
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook for 4-5 minutes, breaking it up with a spatula until browned. Drain excess grease if needed.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking for another 2 minutes until fragrant and softened.
- Stir in the ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix well.
- Pour in beef broth (or water) and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat.
Step 2: Make the Garlic Bread
- In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and grated Parmesan.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly onto each slice of bread.
- Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes, or until lightly toasted.
Step 3: Assemble the Sloppy Joe Melts
- Spoon the Sloppy Joe mixture evenly onto each toasted garlic bread slice.
- Sprinkle each slice with shredded mozzarella and extra Parmesan cheese.
Step 4: Melt the Cheese
- Switch the oven to broil (high setting).
- Broil the assembled melts for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown. Watch carefully to avoid burning!
Step 5: Serve and Enjoy!
- Garnish with fresh parsley for a pop of color and extra flavor.
- Serve hot with a side of marinara sauce for dipping or a fresh salad for balance.
- Enjoy the cheesy, garlicky, saucy goodness!
