BBQ Ribs: An Amazing Ultimate Recipe You Can’t Resist

  • Author: Luna
  • Total Time: 18 minute

Ingredients

– 2 racks of pork baby back ribs
– 1 tablespoon paprika
– 1 tablespoon brown sugar
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon onion powder
– 1 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 teaspoon cumin
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
– 1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
– 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (for the sauce)
– Optional: fresh herbs, for garnish

Instructions

Creating mouthwatering BBQ Ribs requires attention to detail and a little patience. Follow these steps for perfect results:

1. Prepare the Ribs: Start by removing the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption. Pat them dry with paper towels.

2. Mix the Rub: In a bowl, combine paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, cumin, salt, and cayenne pepper. Mix until evenly blended.

3. Apply the Rub: Generously rub the mixture all over the ribs, coating both sides. Wrap them in plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator to marinate for at least 4 hours, but ideally overnight.

4. Preheat the Grill: About 30 minutes before cooking, preheat your grill (or smoker) to a low temperature of about 225°F (107°C) for indirect heat.

5. Prepare for Cooking: If you’re using a charcoal grill, place your coals on one side of the grill and leave the other side empty to create indirect heat. For gas grills, only light one side.

6. Cook the Ribs: Place the ribs bone-side down on the indirect heat side of the grill. Close the lid and cook for 2.5 to 3 hours, maintaining the grill temperature.

7. Baste with Sauce: During the last 30 minutes of cooking, brush the ribs with BBQ sauce, and continue cooking until the sauce is sticky and caramelized.

8. Check Doneness: The ribs are done when the meat pulls away from the bones and is tender to the touch. If you have a meat thermometer, the internal temperature should reach around 190°F (88°C).

9. Rest the Ribs: Once cooked, transfer the ribs to a cutting board and let them rest for about 10-15 minutes. This helps retain the juices.

10. Slice and Serve: Cut the ribs between the bones, and serve these delicious BBQ Ribs with extra BBQ sauce on the side, as desired.
