Banana Pudding

  • Author: Luna
  • Total Time: 2 hours 15 minutes
  • Yield: 8 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 (3.4-ounce) box instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups heavy whipping cream (or 1 tub of whipped topping)
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 box (about 11 ounces) vanilla wafers
  • Optional: ½ teaspoon cinnamon (for extra warmth and depth of flavor)

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Vanilla Pudding

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, cold milk, and vanilla pudding mix until smooth. Let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken.

Step 2: Prepare the Whipped Cream

In a separate bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form. If using store-bought whipped topping, skip this step.

Step 3: Fold Everything Together

Gently fold half of the whipped cream into the pudding mixture to create a light, creamy texture.

Step 4: Layer the Pudding

In a serving dish, start with a layer of vanilla wafers, followed by sliced bananas, and then pudding mixture. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of pudding.

Step 5: Top with Whipped Cream

Spread the remaining whipped cream over the top. Crush some vanilla wafers and sprinkle them over for a crunchy finish.

Step 6: Chill and Serve

Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight) to allow the flavors to meld and the wafers to soften. Serve chilled and enjoy!
