  • Author: Luna
  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 20 shrimp wraps 1x

Ingredients

Scale

For the Shrimp Wraps:

  • 20 large shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails on
  • 100g blue cheese, crumbled
  • 10 slices of turkey or beef strips (cut in half lengthwise)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • Fresh parsley or chives, finely chopped (for garnish)
  • Toothpicks for securing wraps
  • Optional Dip:
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt or sour cream
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp dried dill or mint
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Shrimp

• Rinse the shrimp under cool water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
• Sprinkle them with garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika.
• Let them sit for a few minutes to absorb the seasoning.

2. Assemble the Shrimp Wraps

• Take a small amount of crumbled blue cheese and press it into the curve of each shrimp.
• Carefully wrap each shrimp with a half-slice of turkey or beef strip, securing it with a toothpick.
• Make sure the cheese is snugly packed to avoid leaking during cooking.

3. Cook the Wrapped Shrimp

• Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat or preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).
• For stovetop: Place the shrimp in the skillet and cook for about 3–4 minutes per side, or until the wrap is browned and the shrimp is opaque.
• For oven: Arrange shrimp on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 12–15 minutes, turning halfway for even browning.

4. Prepare the Dip (Optional)

• In a small bowl, mix yogurt or sour cream with lemon juice, dried herbs, salt, and pepper.
• Chill until ready to serve.

5. Serve and Garnish

• Transfer the shrimp to a serving platter.
• Sprinkle with fresh parsley or chives for added color.
• Serve immediately with the dip on the side.
