Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Chicken Patties

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped chipotle peppers, adobo sauce, smoked paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, lime juice, breadcrumbs, and egg. Mix everything together until well incorporated.

Step 2: Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb—this helps them cook evenly and prevents them from puffing up.

Step 3: Cook the Patties

  • Grill: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates. Cook the patties for about 5 minutes per side, flipping once, until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
